President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.   Source : NATO NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa to NATO Headquarters on Wednesday (27 September 2023) to discuss Russia’s war against Ukraine and follow up on decisions taken at the recent NATO Summit in Vilnius. Mr Stoltenberg thanked Prime Minister Siliņa for Latvia’s contributions to the Alliance, including the country’s strong leadership on defence spending, deployments to missions in Kosovo and Iraq, and substantial political and military support provided to Ukraine. Latvia also hosts a Canadian-led battlegroup, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defence on the Alliance’s eastern flank.  Source : NATO The Croatian Ministry of Defence hosted the 2nd Annual Conference of Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academies and Schools (18-20 September 2023), in cooperation with NATO’s international staff and the Partnership for Peace Consortium. The event in Split, Croatia, marked an important step in the process of further professionalisation of Non-Commissioned Officers across NATO Allies and partners and confirmed the indispensable role that NCOs perform in modern military operations.   Source : APP Pakistan and Luxembourg on Tuesday agreed to deepen cooperation at the European Union as well as the bilateral levels.   The bilateral relations were discussed in a meeting between Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU Amna Baloch and Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the EU Ambassador Sylvie Lucas.   In the meeting, they discussed the bilateral cooperation as well as the matters of mutual interest.
