The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union presented her credentials to the President of Turkmenistan

 Source : EEAS On  26 September 2023, H. E. Beata Peksa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan, presented her credentials to H. E. President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ms Beata Peksa on her appointment to this esteemed diplomatic position and conveyed his wishes for her to achieve significant success in further enhancing the bilateral relations. NATO Secretary General meets Latvian Prime Minister: welcomes Allies’ significant contributions to Ukraine

  Source : NATO NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa to NATO Headquarters on Wednesday (27 September 2023) to discuss Russia’s war against Ukraine and follow up on decisions taken at the recent NATO Summit in Vilnius. Mr Stoltenberg thanked Prime Minister Siliņa for Latvia’s contributions to the Alliance, including the country’s strong leadership on defence spending, deployments to missions in Kosovo and Iraq, and substantial political and military support provided to Ukraine. Latvia also hosts a Canadian-led battlegroup, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defence on the Alliance’s eastern flank. Liechtenstein is steeped in the values that underpin the Council of Europe: Human Rights, democracy and the rule of law, and is a committed and active member state. NATO Allies and partners join forces to strengthen the professionalisation of Non-Commissioned Officers

 Source : NATO The Croatian Ministry of Defence hosted the 2nd Annual Conference of Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academies and Schools (18-20 September 2023), in cooperation with NATO’s international staff and the Partnership for Peace Consortium. The event in Split, Croatia, marked an important step in the process of further professionalisation of Non-Commissioned Officers across NATO Allies and partners and confirmed the indispensable role that NCOs perform in modern military operations. In his opening address, Tom Goffus, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Operations, said that: "a strong, vibrant, innovative Non-Commissioned Officer Corps is the hallmark and engine of successful, western, modern, democratic militaries. Pakistan, Luxembourg agree to deepen bilateral cooperation

  Source : APP Pakistan and Luxembourg on Tuesday agreed to deepen cooperation at the European Union as well as the bilateral levels.   The bilateral relations were discussed in a meeting between Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU Amna Baloch and Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the EU Ambassador Sylvie Lucas.   In the meeting, they discussed the bilateral cooperation as well as the matters of mutual interest.

Chair of the NATO Military Committee visits Egypt

  Source : NATO  From 23 to 25 September 2023, the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, visited Egypt upon the invitation of General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-In-Chief Of The Armed Forces, Minister Of Defense And Military Production. In Cairo, Admiral Bauer met with senior political and military authorities and delivered a lecture at the Nasser Higher Military Academy. Building on almost three decades of cooperation through the Mediterranean Dialogue, the visit provided an important opportunity to look in depth at the military cooperation between NATO and Egypt. The visit began in Nasr City, Cairo at the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier. The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels hosted the launch of the book titled "The Security Imperative – Pakistan's Nuclear Deterrence and Diplomacy" authored by Ambassador Zamir Akram at the Brussels Press Club today. The event was attended by Brussels based Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives from the think tank community and academia. In his remarks, Ambassador Zamir Akram highlighted that Pakistan’s determined pursuit of nuclear deterrence was not motivated by considerations of prestige and great power ambitions but driven by its acute, existential and evolving security challenges. He emphasized that the book provides a practitioner’s insight into the pivotal role played by Pakistan’s deft diplomacy in enabling the acquisition of nuclear deterrent capability.
